Deleting WhatsApp Messages Could Become Illegal In India..

Indian government has formulated a new policy to ensure that its law enforcement agencies have easy access to encrypted information. But with this, your sense of privacy and security will remain at stake.
Here are some implications for citizens and companies if the policy is implemented in its current form ...

According to the draft, citizens may use encryption technology for storage and communication. However, encryption algorithms and key sizes will be prescribed by the government through Notification from time to time. This means that the government will determine the encryption standards for all and entities like Google and WhatsApp will have to follow the encryption standards prescribed by the Indian government.

What's bizarre is that the draft lists specific guidelines for all citizens who use encryption services including instructions that individuals should store in plain text versions of communication for 90 days. So this may imply that you'll have to store your WhatsApp messages for 90 days or face action in case asked to reproduce.

What's appalling is that the government expects all citizens to be aware of encrypted communication and the way to store messages in plain text securely. A large number of
users may in fact not even know that WhatsApp and iMessage use encryption.

As per the draft, "all citizens including personnel of Government / Business (G/B) performing non-official / personal functions, are required to store the plaintexts of the corresponding encrypted information for 90 days from the date of transaction and provide the verifiable Plain Text to Law and Enforcement Agencies as and when required as per the provision of the laws of the country."

The draft also proposes similar guidelines for B2B or enterprise users where data exchange is even more critical and for B2C communication. "On demand, the user shall be able to reproduce the same Plain text and encrypted text pairs using the software / hardware used to produce the encrypted text from the given plain text. Such plain text information shall be stored by the user/organisation/agency for 90 days from the date of transaction and made available to Law Enforcement Agencies as and when demanded in line with the provisions of the laws of the country," it adds. This implies that e-commerce websites will have to keep a plain-text copy of user details leaving their information vulnerable to hackers.

The policy also mentions that Service Providers located within and outside India, using encryption technology for providing any type of services in India must enter into an agreement with the government for providing such services in India. The government will designate an appropriate agency for entering into such an agreement with the service provider located within and outside India. This means WhatsApp, Apple and Google will have to sign agreements with the Indian government to provide services in the country as they use encryption technology. This will make the process more bureaucratic and create roadblocks for app providers. In its current form the policy could have a detrimental effect on the privacy of citizens and expose sensitive data to potential abuse.

"All vendors of encryption products shall register their products with the designated agency of the government. While seeking registration, the vendors shall submit working copies of the encryption software / hardware to the Government along with professional quality documentation, test suites and execution platform environments. The vendors shall work with the designated Government Agencies in security evaluation of their encryption products," the draft adds.

However, mass use products like SSL/TLS that are used for financial transactions are exempted from registration. Users in India are allowed to use only the products registered in India though. So using a service not registered with the government will be illegal. "Government reserves the right to take appropriate action as per Law of the country for any violation of this Policy," the draft categorically states.

The document has been drafted by an expert group set up under the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) which comes under the union ministry of communications and information technology. All citizens can send their comments on the draft policy to akrishnan@deity.gov.in by October 16 and give suggestions.

Best way to use your old smartphone`s.

Bought a new Smartphone?  Don`t give up your old smartphone for a penny. Here we show some different ways so that you can use your old smartphone at your home, office and etc.

1. WiFi Router.......

Using Smartphone you might be familiar with the feature called " HotSpot" and may be you have used it many times, you can easily use an old phone as a portable router. Plug in a 3G and now 4G LTE SIM card and choose a data plan with good data limit.
Make sure to use the strong password for a security or else anyone can access your data from hotspot

2. Turn it into Security Camera or a Baby monitor.

There are number of free apps available that can convert your smartphone into a wireless security camera. Try IP Webcam for Android or iVigilo SmartCam for iOS - these apps use your phone`s camera to stream live video that can be viewed in any browser, any video player that supports streaming or on another smartphone/tablet
You only need to setup the smartphone in place, plug in the charger, install the app and make sure that it stays connected to your WiFi network. .

3. Turn it into Testing ground.

Android means Open world of an operating systems and developers are loving it and just because of an openness Android is ruling the world with more than 80% users are using the Google owned OS.
And People`s are loving customization and in android you might be familiar with Root access and Flashing ROM`s and yes you can use it as Test ground for testing new ROM`s available for your smartphone`s just like me I am using my Moto E for testing new ROM`s and new apps available in the market.

4. Only for kids device.

Yes no one love to give there new and expensive phones to the kids for playing games and on the other hand we don`t want to break the kid`s heart. So rather than saying no you can give him your old smartphone with some games installed in it.
Or simply make it as an educational device for your kid`s with tons of educational apps present in playstore for free or just a $ maybe.

 5. Use it as a GPS Navigator.

Google Maps and navigation is free on every android phone`s and you have probably used it while driving or for getting the direction.
This means that with an old Android phone, you don't need to buy a standalone GPS navigator for the car — just keep your old phone permanently mounted in the car. All you need is a car windscreen or dashboard mount for the phone and a generic micro USB 12V car charger to keep the battery juiced up (you can buy both online for as less as Rs 300 each).

6. Sell it.

Selling might be a good option you can sell it on Ebay, Olx, Quickr and Swappa (Outside India) and the money you get by selling your old smartphone you can use that money to buy some good accessories for your new smartphones.
I hope you all like my blog do share it and join our pages and follow us on Twitter.

OnePlus might launch leather rear cover for OnePlus 2.

After the launch of OnePlus 2, OnePlus was in the news but not for the good reasons for example Slow rollout of an invites, Fake invites from spammers, some bunch of stupids people`s who are selling there invites and last but not a least over Hyped NFC & definitely Fast charging.

But from all the bad news there is some great news coming from OnePlus first Carl Pei announced that they might have an Open sale for OnePlus 2 for an hour, and another news is that in the recent tweet from OnePlus we can indicate that OnePlus might launch leather rear cover for OnePlus 2.

At the present time there are 4 style swap covers available Kevlar, Bamboo, Rosewood and Black apricot. Leather cover will be a good addition and I will definitely buy that cover. In a tweet OnePlus tease that "A bit of welcome luxury" and further they put a question for a user to guess "Something luxurious is coming to OnePlus. What could it be?" Still no official approval are there from OnePlus but let`s hope for the best. Hope they launch it what`s your thought on it guys Do like Our fb page and follow us on Twitter.

Think twice before using your Xperia Z5 in the Pool

It looks like Sony has made a very controversial change to the advice regarding its waterproof Xperia devices. As many of you will know, Sony’s devices are known for being water and dust-proof.For a device to achieve the IP68 rating, it is tested with continuous immersion in fresh water to depths of 1.5m for up to 30 minutes. With the new statements on the page, its suggests that the company is not confident that the device will withstand potential water damage when used underwater, most likely because it could cause water damage and therefore the company would have to repair the devices under warranty.

Now, according to the manufacturer, those who use the Sony Xperia Z5 underwater to take a photo will void the warranty. This is also the case with the Z5 Premium and the Z5 Compact. Sony’s flagships featured the phones taking pictures underwater, this is probably one of the company’s most controversial moves.

Nextbit Robin is a new Android phone from Google and HTC

Nextbit comes from the minds of former Android employees Tom Moss and Mike Chan, along with former HTC designer Scott Croyle, who led the team that brought us the HTC One M7 and M8. Robin's design, if nothing else, is unique. The phone is rectangular with sharp corners and pastel colors. Though with the inclusion of a black border around the screen along with speaker grills at the top and bottom, you can see some lingering aspects of HTC design.

Most of you are probably wondering about this thing’s raw specs. The Robin has a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 LCD screen and a 5-megapixel camera on its face, as well as a 13-megapixel shooter around back. Powering the device is a combination of a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 2680mAh battery that’s said to be “engineered for long battery life.” The battery also supports quick charging. Rounding out the spec list is 32GB of storage, NFC, WCDMA 850/900/1800/1900/2100, and LTE bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/20/28.

And now In an apology recently posted on the OnePlus forums, company co-founder Carl Pei talks about how OnePlus not only messed up the One’s launch, but also the release for the 2. Pei says:
We know how it feels waiting and waiting for something you really want, while being given ETAs that go unfulfilled. We appreciate the trust and support that you have given to a relatively small and unknown company like OnePlus. We know that you are rooting for us, and want nothing more than to see us succeed. Therefore, it feels extra terrible to let you down this time around, again.
Even the shipping of the OnePlus 2 has started and user are giving positive response to the flagship device from OnePlus. But still OnePlus is lacking behind to fulfill the users demand. To make up with it, OnePlus has announced that it will open up sale for OnePlus 2 later this month or early next month, for only one hour. Top 5 features of an iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

Yesterday was the big day because the most valuable company Apple has launched there new iPhone`s, iPad and Apple Watch and again Apple show me that they can launch that products which I can`t buy. So here are the top 5 features of an iPhone which I loved it.

1. 3D Touch.

Apple announced at the event that both the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus come with Retina displays that support 3D Touch. The pressure-sensitive touch technology allows the handset to distinguish between a quick tap and a long press, triggering actions accordingly. The idea is that when you long press on an app's icon, you're now bestowed with several contextual options that could act as shortcuts and let you perform tasks quickly without actually opening the app first. You can, for instance, know direction to your home, listen to the album you like, update your Facebook status, as well as take a quick selfie camera without opening the corresponding apps.

 2. 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.

12MP is not a big number but still Apple iPhone has the best camera in the world and increase in camera megapixels means that more clear images and video recording can be done and now even 4K recording is also possible in an iPhone.( Android user`s wins here 4K is not new thing to us).
And now let talk about front camera. Both the iPhone`s has 5MP front camera with LED flash so selfie lovers get ready for some awesome selfie`s shots.

3. Live Photos.

The new iPhone models are now capable of capturing Live Photos. The company said that it is bringing life to the static photos that we all take. By "live" it means that a static image will capture a second and a half before and after the image is shot to show continuity. One could set this as a wallpaper as well.

4. Faster Touch ID.

The company has also made refinements to Touch ID, its fingerprint scanner that allows one to unlock the device, feed password to accounts, and facilitate quick Apple Pay payments with simply putting the finger on the sensor.
The company said Wednesday that the Touch ID is now twice as fast, and more accurate as well.

5. A9 Processor.

The processor inside the iPhone is getting an upgrade too, of course. The new iPhone models come with the Apple A9 SoC, which is claimed to deliver 70 percent faster CPU performance than the A8 processor on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and 90 percent faster GPU performance. The M9 coprocessor among other things, supports "Hey Siri" always-on voice search.

Top 5 Hot Picks From IFA 2015.

Lot`s of  Wearable, Tablets, Smartphones and some more amazing gadgets were showcase at IFA 2015 in Berlin. So here are the Top 5 hot picks from Brigadier Android Team.

1. Power of the 4k Display ( Sony Xperia Z5 Premium).

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is the world's first smartphone with a 4K display, marking a major technological milestone. It's also a major step forward for Sony's phone cameras, as the company offers a completely redesigned 23-megapixel camera, the biggest change in two years. Combine that with a waterproof, capless design and a unique mirrored back panel, and you've got one of the most eye-catching and newsworthy phones of the show.
Z5 also move up to a 5.5- inch display size and a larger battery juiced with 3,430 mAh and also a fingerprint sensor at the right side of the phone which is a good position. Z5 has everything packed in it to be called as "the King of flagship device".

2. ZTE Axon Elite.

ZTE Born Axon is looking aggressive in mobile industries with Axon Elite is beautifully engineered device. Axon Elite ramps things up a bit with a rear fingerprint scanner and some leather trim, though the display has been bring back to 1080p. Elite even have some amazing features like unlocking phone with a Eye and even more amazing things are there with a price tag of 419 Euros.

3. PC in a stick ( Asus vivostick pc).

Among the many products announced by Asus at the fair, one of the most interesting is the VivoStick PC, an ultra-miniature PC that turns any HDMI-enabled TV or monitor into a fully-functional Windows 10 PC (provided you add a keyboard and a mouse), and which can also be controlled remotely from a smartphone. It costs $129, and for that price you get 2GB of RAM, 2 USB ports, 32GB of storage, and a headphone jack. Unfortunately, it’s still unclear when it will go on sale.

4. Moto 360(2015).

The new Moto 360 actually comes in four flavors. There are the 46 mm and 42 mm men's editions, a 42 mm women's edition, and the Moto 360 Sport. While Motorola has kept with the round design (it was the first to sport it), it's kept the not-quite-a-full-circle display, moved the crown to the 2-o-clock position, and tightened the overall look and feel up a bit. We've also got new internals that are more in line with the rest of the Android Wear offerings.

5. Panasonic Future Mirror.

You might have seen it already a prototype of this cool, interactive mirror at the CES in January, but the one being shown in Germany is an improved version. Not only it can digitally enhance your face to show you how you would like with different makeups (in my case, with different types of beard, or mustache) and detect your skin conditions and recommend how to improve it, but now includes features such as vital statistics check, magnifier and rear view of yourself. A must-have, for all narcissists, when and if it will be marketed. (Women`s are going to love it!!).

OnePlus 2 Full Honest Review- Pros & Cons.

We Humans love everything which has good value for money and if value for money terms are apply in Tech world China is the place for everyone. Today here I am talking about another Chinese OEM`s OnePlus. Just with 2 phones under there hood they are looking aggressive in the market and with the new OnePlus 2 so called "2016 flagship killer" let see that this time it is a hit or a miss.

Key Features:
5.5-inch 1080p screen; Snapdragon 810 processor with 3/4GB RAM; 16 or 64GB storage; Dual SIM; 13-megapixel rear camera; 5-megapixel front camera; Fingerprint sensor; 3,300 mAh battery.

 Display:
OnePlus choose to go with Full HD LCD Display resolution at 1080 x 1920 pixels with 401ppi it is the same display panel which was used in OnePlus One but in OnePlus 2 color production is better and display is more sharper. With this display on the board battery usage is not high as 1440p panel.

Design & Hardware:
OnePlus 2 look`s similar to it predecessor but the metal frame make look device more  premium and heavier too it weigh around 175g. 4GB DDR4 RAM makes device more powerful than  before and with Snapdragon 810 2.1v under-clocked processor device does not get hang or fumbled    even while playing heavy gaming and multitasking. 5.5 inch display is quite hard handle to single handily but Sandstone back provide enough grip that device does not get slip from hand. On right side of the device it has volume button and power button and on the left side it has Alert slider which is something new on android device and I am loving it other manufacturers must used that too in there device. USB C Type is also something new which I have seen on OnePlus 2 it helps to transfer data faster.

Camera:
Camera was the highest priority this time and there are many more features include which was missing from OnePlus One optical image stabilization and laser-assisted auto-focus with 13 MP rear camera produce some excellent images but options are very less as compare to the One. In Outdoor`s OnePlus 2 takes some grate shot`s in light and as the light goes down performance also gets down but still it produce some good images in dark. But there is some problem with camera application it takes some time to load the image let hope it get solved by the latest software.

Battery Life:
Battery life on OnePlus 2 is average though it is packed with 3,300mAh battery but still performance is average. If we compare OnePlus 2 with OnePlus One battery life OnePlus One wins here. It takes more than 2 hours to charge 0% to 100% which is not that too slow but not too fast also if you are an average user who does not play games for a long time than your battery can survive full day easily.

 Software:
OnePlus 2 is using its own custom OS named as Oxygen OS. Oxygen OS is just same as Stock Android with little add ons features only few options for customization like Dark themes and Default themes for settings and App drawer. Shelf is also introduced with Oxygen OS where all your mostly useful App is stored there and frequently used contacts can be seen there and more widgets can be add. App permission is also new thing which is main feature of Android M and here in OnePlus 2 user can use this feature on OnePlus 2. System UI is very simple which mean that update to Android M can be faster and OnePlus is looking very serious in software department in 10 days I have received 2 Minors Update with some camera improvements.

Fingerprint Sensor:
One of the best features of OnePlus 2 is Fingerprint Sensor it is accurate and faster. 9/10 Sensor has recognized my thumb and It is something I loved on my OnePlus 2 just put your finger on the sensor and in a seconds your device is unlock.

 Pros:

  • Build Quality Magnesium alloy feels good and hard.
  • Style Swap Covers makes device looks sexy and beautiful.
  • Dual Nano Sim which is great for travelers.
  • Fingerprint Sensor is good addition.
  • Alert Slider for notifications.
  • Sandstone rear cover we all loved it.
Cons:

  • Device is thick and heavier than One.
  • Camera needs more features.
  • NFC though I don`t use it but for others it is a serious concern.
  • Titled as "Flagship Killer 2016" but not including Quick Charging features that`s not fair.
  • Software need more features may be theme engine can be the good option.
  • USB C type it is hard to find chargers at others place.
  • Invite System Again.
