Carl pie co-founder of OnePlus talks about future device and NFC.

It`s barely a week since OnePlus launched its flagship device the OnePlus 2. Company has some other plans to launch another phone later this year. In an interview with USA Today, co-founder Carl Pei revealed that the company has already turned its attention to another phone planned for before the end of this year and it may be a mid-range device.
Pei was asked whether the company had plans for another phone this year, to which he answered:

"There’s going to be a second phone this year, before the end of the year. Hopefully for Christmas.
It may or may not be (higher spec’d than the OnePlus 2). When I saw the prototype for that phone I was like ‘holy s— that’s going to be my daily driver’ but then when the OnePlus 2 production version came out it’s also super nice, so its really hard to decide now what to use.
It’s going to be amazing, but today I’m not going to talk about it."
Pei answer suggest that company might launch mid-range phones which can be priced aggressively something around $200-$250. While OnePlus 2 falls in $330-$400 so it is safe to assume that it will launch at Sub-$250 range. While rivals companies like Motorola, Samsung, HTC, Lenovo are focusing at sub-$250 price range it will be nice to see if OnePlus comes into frame. Everything aside mobile phone users will get many options to choose from if all companies can be serious with $200-$250 category.

Pei said the company is targeting being the third major OEM in the market (alongside Apple and Samsung) in five years and expects all other OEMs tp have died.
"In 5 years I think it will be Apple, OnePlus and Samsung because there’s no more room in the market. Everyone else would’ve died because they couldn’t reach the scale they wanted fast enough or they couldn’t have a margin to sustain their business. Look at the soft drink space: there are only two players, Pepsi and Coke."
Pei was interviewed after the launch of OnePlus 2 and since then the company have got mixed review from the audience but OnePlus 2 has nice and good features at a very reasonable price but most of the peoples are confused in between OnePlus 2 and Moto X Style.Moto X Style vs OnePlus 2
The features that was missing in OnePlus 2 was NFC and Quick-charging and Pei speaks about NFC during the interview Pei said th company didn`t include NFC as very few people use it and that NFC is overblown.
"I think the entire issue of NFC is overblown. Very few people are using NFC, so we cut it. It’s as simple as that.
I know that Android Pay is coming but all that is in the future. It (NFC) is going to gain widespread adoption in stores 12-18 months from now. By that time people will have moved on to the next device."

So lets see how people will love OnePlus 2 till now the waiting list for OnePlus 2 has passed 1.5 millions marks its seems to be that peoples are interested in the new 2016 flagship killers and lets see how much #HYPE will be create by OnePlus mid-range phone.
